Heavenly Tools Never Wear Out

Wanted to share a quick post…something received in quiet time 🙂

Some of the differences between our heavenly kingdom and earthly kingdom are sooo interesting, one of them being our heavenly and earthly tools and weapons.

  2 Corinthians 10:4  The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 

In other words, the weapons and tools of heaven…are different  than the ones of this world.

On earth, the more we use our tools or weapons to fight an enemy with, the more they wear out and the more we need to sharpen them.   Recently, while working on a project, an electric saw went dull and made the job more difficult.   We were soo glad we had the tool, it just needed ‘sharpening’ 🙂

In heaven, our tools-weapons are different, they are ‘self sharpening’.   They operate in completely the opposite manner.    The more we use them, the ‘sharper they become’ the more ‘intense’ they become.

2 Timothy 1:6   For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

When we us this gift (tool)…fan it…the gift becomes greater, more intense-it grows and becomes more effective.

2 Corinthians 3:18  And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The closer we get to the Lord, the greater power we have, our power and effectiveness increases ‘ever increasing glory’ .   The more work we do in the Lord, our position in the Spirit increases (increasing glory) thus our ability and gifts in the Spirit increase (spiritual tools)  …all we have to do is ‘use them’.     The more we work, the more our tools get sharper, by the Lords hand (which comes from the Lord-above).. and not ours-just work ‘in the Spirit’ 🙂

Proverbs 18:21   The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.   

 The more we use this ‘tool of speech’ the more we ‘eat it’s fruit’ .   Again, the Lord ‘sharpens our tools for us-because the fruit is from above, not ourselves.’   We  use them and amazingly  they don’t get duller, they get sharper…Praise God!   Can’t wait to use more of our heavenly tools on earth, to get more of His ever increasing Glory…finalizing in heaven where the tools will be ‘razor sharp’ forever 🙂
