Does God Know?
Does God know about the virus pandemic?
Psalm 91:3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly plagues.
Does He know about the hardships?
Psalm 71:20-21 You have made me endure many terrible troubles. You restore me to life again. You bring me back from the depths of the earth. 21 You comfort me and make me greater than ever.
Does He know about the abundance of evil?
Psalm 91:5-8 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
Well, it’s nice to know He is the conqueror of all of them!
Psalm 91:9-11 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
Oh, one more thing…does He know about our perseverance to join Him to fight all that is wrong and harmful to those He loves?
We’ll leave that discussion private, between you and Him.
It is wrong to speak that this fight is over, for it has just begun. The enemy has many waves coming…we cannot even begin to think of turning back and going home.
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
This means the most important people in our lives are under attack. Christians are not just fighting against a virus…but against every form of evil trying to destroy those we value most. Evil has power…Jesus ‘rebuked’ many sicknesses…at times-casting out ‘the evil’ presence behind the sickness.
Matthew 12:22-23 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23 All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”
Not all sicknesses comes from an evil presence -and this is important to know…
But- what would you think about a sickness that results in stopping all large gatherings…including many who now are unable to work and provide for their family…and a sickness that shut down worship services across the world.
It’s not a pandemic we are fighting…that is just the symptom! No one knows who all the players involved with this ‘c’ virus, but we do know satan is using it against us…and we fight and pray for complete victory over this sickness-as the scriptures above claim we should do.
It seems the only discussion for those who believe His Word should be… Are we going to do our best to provide the Lords covering and protection for our family, friends, people we know around us?
We will stop speaking and praying about this virus when we see those we care about are safe and our country is restored and functioning again.
Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
I absolutely love what those in the Great Awakening are saying… ‘you have more than you know’ ! 🙂
